National Naval Aviation Museum – viewing area 1750 Radford Blvd., Pensacola Most Tuesday and Wednesdays through Nov. 9,11:30 a.m.

October dates: Oct. 11 (museum visit day) Oct 17, Oct. 18 (museum visit day), Oct. 24, Oct. 25 and Oct. 31. Outdoor viewing area located on Museum Flight Line, north of the museum. Directional signs posted for visitors for viewing and parking. Open bleacher seating available for 1,000; limited chair rental for $3. Concessions and merchandise available. Practices last about 45 minutes. Sun and hearing protection recommended. One hundred percent ID check enforced for all visitors 16 years old and older. Downtown Pensacola Oct. 20, 5-9 p.m.

Once-a-month celebration with music, art and cuisine on streets closed to traffic. Café tables on brick sidewalks are perfect for enjoying coffee or cocktails with music and fun in the air. Family-friendly atmosphere in downtown parks with special lighting and outdoor entertainment. Parking available on side streets. Most restaurants, bars and businesses extend ours beyond “official” closing at 9 p.m.


Gulf Breeze Community Center, 800 Shoreline Drive Saturdays and Sundays, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

1.5 mile walk for families and pets features 12 posted trivia questions. Ballots are $2 and proceeds are donated to the center’s after-school program and local animal shelter. Call (850) 393-4605 for information.

Opportunity to play jazz with other musicians. Free admission for participating musicians -- high school and college players with student IDs and any interested other musicians. Participating students get a free ticket for one guest, as well. $10 for Pensacola Jazz members and guests, $12 for non-members, free for students with ID and military in uniform. Drummers asked to bring their own sticks/brushes. Jazz Jam at La Brisa Restaurant in Gulf Breeze, first Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Free admission. Tuesday Jazz Jam until Dec. 26, 6:30 p.m. at Seville Quarter at 130 East Government St. in Pensacola.
